PURPOSE: A portable tester for a photovoltaic array is provided to achieve efficient application of solar power plant by diagnosing the property of the photovoltaic array.;CONSTITUTION: A portable tester for a photovoltaic array includes a current voltage measuring sensor, a variable load, a memory(116), a manipulation part, a display device, and a microprocessor. The current voltage measuring sensor(112) senses the output voltage and current of the photovoltaic array(12). The variable load(114) simulate a load condition of the photovoltaic array by varying the impedance according to control signals. The display device(118) shows the measurement result or operation state according to control signals. The microprocessor(110) measures the open circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the photovoltaic array by controlling the variable load in a measurement mode according to the manipulation of the manipulation part, outputs the maximum output, the maximum output current, and the maximum output voltage, and outputs a charging rate to be displayed on a display device and stored in a memory.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
