PURPOSE: A network-based welding simulation apparatus and a method thereof are provided to enable a leaner to perform the same virtual welding as the real welding work.;CONSTITUTION: A network-based welding simulation apparatus comprises a motion detection means, a display means, and a control means. The motion detection means includes the first sensor for sensing the motion of a welding torch and the second sensor for sensing the proximity with a virtual welding object. The display means a touch screen(10) which displays the image of the virtual welding object and senses the contact of the welding motion sensing means.
