PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method of driving the same are provided to reduce the stress of a switch device by reducing the number of a lamp pulse for preventing an erroneous discharge.;CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel and a method of driving the same are comprised of the steps: selectively applying a first ramp down pulse to only a(2n-1)-th scanning electrode to eliminate an erroneous discharge formed on a reset period; and Selectively applying a second ramp down pulse only 2n-th scanning electrode to eliminate an erroneous discharge formed by a scanning pulse for an address period.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
