PURPOSE: An apparatus for sampling a mold powder layer in continuous casting is provided to recognize the cooled state of a sample formed by mold powder action in a mold and to estimate lubrication between a solidified layer and a mold wall accurately.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sampling a mold powder layer in continuous casting comprises a sampling tool(10) and a sample tube(30). The sampling tool is equipped with a sample stopper on the bottom and inserted in a mold.
