A skin moisturizing cosmetic composition is provided to increase the moisture of the skin, to inhibit the loss of moisture of the skin surface and to improve the stability of formulation. A skin moisturizing cosmetic composition comprises the thyme extract stabilized with nanoliposome. Preferably the content of the thyme extract is 0.001-50.0 wt% based on the total weight of the nanoliposome, and the content of the thyme extract is 0.001-30 wt% based on the total weight of the composition. Preferably the nanoliposome has an average particle diameter of 30-70 nm.
