A CCFL lamp power connection apparatus of a direct type backlight unit is provided to connect the lamp lead to the power connection device without welding. A second press portion(112) is formed on the upper side bend portion. A third press portion(113) is formed on the bottom side bendable portion. A first press portion(111) is formed into the either side based on the center area. The second press portion forms the space for contacting the lamp lead. In case the lamp lead is connected in the second press portion, it applies the force of restitution turning upward and the third press portion the lamp lead and the second press portion adhere closely to the second press portion. If the lamp lead is connected in the second press portion, the first press portion applies restitution force to the second press portion, thereby contacting the lamp lead with the second press portion.
