A method and a device for preventing collision among RFID(Radio Frequency ID) readers classified into each output level are provided to preferentially assign a frequency channel to first readers by using a channel holding signal, and control a ratio of frequency channels of mobile/portable RFID readers and general RFID readers. RFID readers are classified into first and second RFID readers according to a maximum output level, and a first frequency channel for the first RFID readers and a second frequency channel for the second RFID readers are set(S310). Frequency channel assignment information is set by assigning one of the first frequency channels to each first RFID reader(S320). A channel holding signal is generated in each first frequency channel to restrict use of the second RFID readers(S330). A request for using the frequency channel is received from on first RFID reader(S340). Generation of the channel holding signal is stopped in the selected frequency channel based on the frequency channel assignment information(S350). The channel holding signal is generated in the requested frequency channel when the request for returning the frequency channel is received from one first RFID reader(S360).
