Catalyst composition comprising phosphine ligands and Hydroformylation reaction using the same

A catalyst composition comprising phosphorous compounds and a hydroformylation reaction on olefin-based compounds of a catalyst composition to which bidentate phosphorous compounds containing oxygen are applied as ligands is provided to show a very high catalytic activity and a high selectivity on iso aldehydes. A catalyst composition comprises: (a) a bidentate ligand represented by the formula 1; and (b) a transition metal catalyst represented by the formula 2, M(L^1)x(L^2)y(L^3)z, wherein in the formula 1, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are identical to or different from one another and each independently denotes hydrogen, -R7, -OR7, Si(R7)3, -Si(OR7)3, -C(O)R7, -C(O)OR7, -OC(O)R7, -C(O)N(R7)2, -S(O)2R7, -S(O)R7, -SR7, -N(R8)2, -N(R8)C(O)R8, -P(O)(R8)2, halogen, nitro, cyano, or hydroxy, where respective R7s are identical to or different from one another and each independently denotes C1-C20-alkyl, C6-C20-aryl, C1-C20-alk-C6-C20-aryl, and C6-C20-ar-C1-C20-alkyl, respective R8s are identical to or different from one another independently and each denotes hydrogen, C1-C20-alkyl, C6-C20-aryl, C1-C20-alk-C6-C20-aryl, and C6-C20-ar-C1-C20-alkyl, and n denotes an integer of 3 to 20, and wherein in the formula 2, M denotes a transition metal, L^1, L^2 and L^3 are identical to or different from one another and each independently denotes hydrogen, CO, cyclooctadiene, norbonene, chlorine, triphenylphosphine, or acetylacetonato, and x, y and z each has a value of 0 to 5 excluding a case that x, y and z are zero at the same time.
