BIAXIAL TENSILE STRENGTH TEST METHOD FOR CONCRETE SPECIMEN

A biaxial tensile strength test method is provided to simply, inexpensively and reliably measure a concrete biaxial tensile strength. A biaxial tensile strength test method for a concrete specimen includes a load plate(100), a concrete specimen(200), and a support plate(300). The concrete specimen is formed in a circular shape. The load plate, placed on the concrete specimen, includes a circular body(110), and a load part(120) extended downward from the lower surface of the body. The body is formed of a steel plate having a predetermined thickness, and has strength greater than that of the concrete specimen. The support plate, whose diameter is greater than that of the load plate, supports the concrete specimen.
