Compositions for curing NSAIDs-induced gastric antral ulceration comprising anthocyanin

A composition comprising antocyanine extracted from black rice is provided to suppress the lipid peroxidation, and increase activity of antioxidative enzymes including SOD(superoxide dismutase), catalase and glutathione peroxidase within living body, thereby treating the gastritis and gastric ulcer caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs). The composition for preventing and treating the gastritis and gastric ulcer caused by NSAIDs such as naproxen comprises antocyanine extracted from black rice by extracting the black rice bran with ethanol, filtering the ethanol extract of black rice bran with the filter paper, and passing the filtered product through the column packed with the ion exchange resin.
