METHOD FOR REFINEMENT OF IMAGES SEARCH RESULTS BASED ON TEXT QUERY

A method for refining image search results based on a text query is provided to enable an image search client based on the text query to refine the image search results by using a plurality of time information descriptors, thereby increasing the accuracy over the average 10%. A method of refining search result images searched based on a text query having a predetermined concept comprises the following steps of: producing weighted values for each of the time information descriptors with respect to search result images(S10); calculating distances between the search result images by using the weighted values generated according to each time information descriptor(S20); clustering the search result images by using the calculated distances, and then dividing the clustered result into a plurality of image groups; and evaluating the degree of relation between the divided image groups and the query concept, and then excluding image groups of a predetermined ratio in which the degree of relation is low(S30).
