A functional feed and feed addictive containing a pine tree bark extract

Functional feed and feed additives including pine tree bark as an active ingredient are provided to utilize pine tree bark which is hitherto discarded as by-products of forest resources and to give quality livestock products. Functional feed and feed additives contain pine tree bark. The pine tree bark is pine tree bark itself or pine tree bark extract. The pine tree bark extract is obtained by the steps of: mixing pine tree bark powder and a solvent in a weight ratio of 1:3 to 1:50, extracting at -20 to 90deg.C for 10min to 3 days, filtering, concentrating and drying. The solvent is spirits, ethanol, methanol, ethyl acetate or acetone. For an example, the pine tree bark is bark of 50 to 100-year-old Pinus densiflora Sieb et Zucc.
