PURPOSE: A break booster is provided to reduce the number of part by using a single general valve instead of a valve body and a poppet valve to control air intake.;CONSTITUTION: A break booster includes a casing, a power piston, a stem unit, a plunger, and an air intake valve. The inside of the casing(100) is divided by a diaphragm into a constant pressure chamber(210) and a variable pressure chamber(220), and has a through hole(110) on one side of the variable pressure chamber. The power piston(320) is attached to the diaphragm(310). The stem unit(140) is combined with the center of the power piston and has a through hole. The plunger(700) is interposed between the stem unit and an input shaft(400) connected to a brake pedal and compresses or releases the stem unit by the reciprocation of the input shaft. The air intake valve(900) has a vacuum passage which connects the constant pressure chamber and the variable pressure chamber, and is inserted in the diaphragm and the power piston and fitted tightly to the through hole of the casing in order to control air flow from/to the constant pressure chamber to/from the variable pressure chamber.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
