A private branch exchange using a dynamic link library and an operating method thereof are provided to perform the functions necessary for a user efficiently. A DLL(Dynamic Link Library) input-output part(24) receives an input related to a DLL from the outside, and then provides the DLL required for the operation of a predetermined module in a private branch exchange. A controller(22) determines whether the DLL necessary for the operation of the predetermined module exists. If so, the controller receives the corresponding DLL from the DLL input-output part, and then executes the received DLL. A recording part(20) stores the recorded conversation or data related to the other party according to the control of the controller.
