FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the chemical industry of production of lacquer coating materials, and in particular, to coating compounds with biocidal properties when processing different surfaces of construction products made from metal, wood, concrete etc. and used in different technologies, for example, construction, medicine, ship building etc. The engineering problem of the invention is to design a coating compound with biocidal properties and a method of making a nano-structure additive with biocidal properties. The problem can be solved by making a compound which contains a binding base substance in form of a lacquer coating material or a film forming additive with biocidal properties with nano-sized particles - 0.5-10 wt %. The compound also contains modified bentonite in form of montmorillonite with particle size of 2-500 nm. Ions of alkali metals during modification of bentonite by a solution of silver and/or copper salts are substituted with Ag+ and/or Cu+ ions. The compound can either an additive in form of capsaicine and modified bentonite in form of montmorillonite with particle size of 2-500 nm. Ions of alkali metals during modification of bentonite by a solution of silver and/or copper salts are substituted with Ag+ and/or Cu+ ions and/or during modification of bentonite by a solution of catamine AB ions of alkali metals are substituted with cations of the latter: [CnH2n+1N+(CH3)2CH2C6H5], where n=10-18.;EFFECT: unification of additives with biocidal properties to different types of lacquer coating materials, higher operational reliability of the compound due to improvement of its inactivating biocidal prolonging action on processed surfaces, increased ecological safety and simplification of the process of obtaining nano-size particles of an additive with biocidal properties.;12 cl, 8 ex
