FIELD: construction industry; water engineering.;SUBSTANCE: mat intended for protective covering consists of synthetic waterproof non-woven blankets attached to each other in the form of tufted mattress, thus forming longitudinal side and central channels. Longitudinal and transverse intercrossing structural elements are located on the outer surface of both blankets. Fasteners meant for attaching mats to each other are located at the intercross points of blankets. On mat end surfaces there are flexible mounting elements in the form of triangular blankets made from synthetic waterproof material. Device meant for filling mat with sand ballast includes measuring hopper with branch pipe and vibration device, fixing arm of mat being filled, and guide pulleys with possibility of vibration, which are installed on vertical platform height-wise downwards. Reel for winding flexible mat, drive and baffle-box with hold-down rollers are arranged on platform foundation. Fixing arm of mat being filled is made in the form of balance beam, the arms of which are fixed on cylindrical hinge. In their lower part, balance beam arms are made in the form of runners with curved external surface, and in their upper part, balance beam arms are equipped with hinged screwed connection with control wheel.;EFFECT: uninterrupted process of filling the mat with sand ballast, increase in performance of protective covering erection works, and reduction of scope of works during foundation preparation.;3 cl, 13 dwg
