FIELD: engines and pumps.;SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of hydropower engineering, namely, to hydropower plant (HPP) structures, and is intended for increase of HPP capacity. Hydropower plant comprises water intake unit installed at the level of head race, supply water line and at least one active hydroturbine with impeller. According to invention, hydropower plant is equipped with additional U-shaped water line, bent part of which is spanned above dam edge, and branches are arranged with different length, the shorter of which is submerged into head race water. Supply water line is arranged in the form of open tray, above upper part of which end of additional water line long branch is located, which is equipped by device creating underpressure, and tight gate valve at the end section.;EFFECT: increased capacity of available HPPs with preservation of level difference in head and tail races due to more efficient use of water mass arriving to water reservoir.;2 cl, 1 dwg
