The invention relates to electrochemistry, and more precisely to equipment used in the electrochemical synthesis of coordination compounds of lanthanides. As a device for electrochemical synthesis of coordination compounds of lanthanides, which allows to obtain cheap focal lanthanide compound without metal lanthanides, replacing their respective cheaper salts of lanthanides, it is proposed to use a device constituting an electrochemical cell in the form of a vessel with lowered into it inert cathode and anode , made, e.g., of graphite and disposed perpendicularly to the bottom of the vessel mercury electrode consisting of nickel howl mesh coated with a mercury. The mercury electrode divides the vessel into two parts isolated from each other.
