A magnetic layer system (1) for use in sensor -, memory, - and reading head - systems or memory cells, with a hard magnetic layer (2), wherein the hard magnetic layer (2) is constructed as a layer stack, consisting of a first layer (5) with magnetically soft, ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic properties and a second layer (6) with antiferromagnetic properties as well as a between the first layer (5) and the second layer (6) arranged third layer (7) with ferromagnetic properties, and the saturation magnetization m₃ the third layer (7) is higher than the saturation magnetization m.sub.m₁ the first layer (5).
