The bearing (1) comprises a rotor of a turbine, which is mounted at one end of the bearing. A rotor of a compressor is connected at another end of the bearing. A spacer ring is formed by an elongated inner ring (7). Two ball bearings (2,3) of a different category are provided with a bearing carrier (4), where one of the two ball bearings is subjected to an axial pre-loading by a spring element (18).
