The method involves cooling a component (2) by directly subjecting the component to a pressurized liquefied gas, particularly carbon dioxide, from outside in the area of the injection molding section. The injection molding section has two ends (11,12) along a longitudinal expansion of the component. The component is cooled such that the liquefied gas is fed directly to an area of the component, where the former end or the latter end of injection molding section is arranged. An independent claim is also included for a device for injection molding of a component in an injection molding section.
