The device has a laminar sun shield (11), and a fastening unit (12) fastening to a monitor (40). A pivot arm (13) is connected with the sun shield at an end and with the fastening unit at another end. The pivot arm is attached to a housing (42) of the monitor, where the pivot arm is attached to vertical housing side parts (43) of the monitor. A joint (14) e.g. ball joint, connects the fastening unit with the pivot arm, and another joint e.g. rotating prismatic joint, is connected within a region of the sun shield.
