The stand has arms (4, 6) that are articulately connected with each other by a joint (2). A Bowden cable is connected with the arms to stabilize the articulated connection of the arms. The joint is designed in a form of a combination of a joint head (8) and a joint socket (10) without a mechanical axle in a rotational axis of the joint. The cable completely or partially runs in an interior of the joint. The head and the socket have parallel running guide grooves (12) and guiding disks (14) or guide pins that are engaged in the grooves.
