The invention relates to a piston rod seal (12) for an insulating cylinder (7) of an electrostatic coating system, comprising a piston rod guide for axially displaceable guidance of a piston rod (11), wherein the piston rod (11) carries a stripping piston in order to remove ink residue from the inner wall of the insulation cylinder (7 ), and with a first seal (17) for sealing the piston rod guide relative to the piston rod (11).
