The method involves determining a triangle by the three points (P1,P2,P3) within a given street section (STR-AB) of an incorrect digital street map. The digital street map data is corrected if the calculated radius of curvature of the given street section is greater than a predetermined reference radius of curvature. An independent claim is also included for a device for correcting digital street map data.
