The module has two inputs (46, 47) attached to one of ends of a shunt resistor (21), which is connected with a suction control valve (70), and by which shunt voltage drops. A delta-sigma modulator (43) is connected with the inputs and converts the shunt voltage into a digital output signal whose mid valve corresponds to the shunt voltage. A level shifter (44) converts potential of the digital output signal into a value related to reference potential (V-gnd). A diode is connected with a power supply unit at an anode side. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring flow through a suction control valve for a common rail pump of a fuel injection system in a motor vehicle.
