The sigma-delta-analog to digital-converter has a sigma-delta-modulator, a clock-generator for producing pulses and a decimation filter that is connected with an output of the sigma-delta-modulator. The clock generator has an input for a starting signal and is designed to terminate the output of a reset signal on reception of the starting signal. The output of the reset signal is terminated at a reset line that is connected with the reset switch, where the reset switch is provided in synchronization with a pulse for the sigma-delta-modulator. An independent claim is also included for a sensor for measuring residual oxygen content in an exhaust gas with a lambda probe.
