The method involves compensating misalignment of a solar module, and determining position of sun using a light sensor and a global positioning system. A solar panel i.e. solar mover, is optimally positioned to according to position of the sun by a controller. Charging current of the solar panel is continuously measured, where the solar panel implements movement and measuring profiles over its positioning range. Maximum charging current is determined with respect to the position, where the determined position of the sun is compared with a momentary sun position. An independent claim is also included for a solar module comprising a controller.
