The sensor device (11) has a sensor (17) mountable on a functional device in an assembly site. The sensor has a sensor unit (18) i.e. reed switch, for desired sampling of a physical variable. A release device (22) is attached to the sensor, and has another sensor unit (23), which operably switches the former sensor unit during activation by a trigger unit (24) that is provided on the assembly site. The release device has a logic device (31) for processing of release signals derived from the latter sensor unit. The logic device is switched between the sensor units.
