The solids content of alkaline earth carbonates is preferably 10-20 wt%. In the aqueous phase, alkali salts are dissolved, preferably at a concentration of 5-50 g/l. The mean grain size of the suspended solids is preferably less than 50 mu m. Sedimentation may occur during storage and the packaging (1) material is hydrophobic. It is especially a polyethylene, at least in the sedimentary location (6, 8). It has a cup-shaped lower section (2) of deep-drawn plastic, and a cover (3) of plastic, metal or a plastic/metal composite. This is welded-on, after filling. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the method of making the suspension in a carbonated form.
