The method involves generating a video input value (Ve), and associating a video output value (Va), remaining video input values and another video output value to the video input value and a number of adjacent video input values of a look up table. An analog video signal corresponding to the video input value (Ve) is supplied to an analog to digital converter for visual representation on a display and/or measuring of light density of the display. The output value (Va) causes a white representation on the display and the latter video output signal causes a black representation on the display.
