The apparatus to measure objects (1), for their shape or shape changes, illuminates (11,12) it with structured or coherent or partially-coherent light. A camera (16) with a flat image sensor (17) takes images of the object. The image sensor has a number of light sensors, with an accumulative lighting in steps for values to be measured after different steps. The image is formed from the scanned values. The values in the image are evaluated (20) according to the illumination times.
