The device comprises an engine, which is operated with rapeseed oil or another renewable fuel, where the engine is coupled with a generator for generating electric stream for operating a pellet press. A delivery device for supplying in natural constitution, as solar radiation, on a desired drying degree of dried green feed in the pellet press is also provided. A coating equipment for coating Pellet press removable pellets with an encapsulation mass, and a drying oven for drying the encapsulation mass on a drying degree are additionally provided. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing animal feed in pellet form, which involves utilizing an engine operated with rapeseed oil or another renewable fuel, where the engine is coupled with a generator for generating electric stream for operating a pellet press.
