The method involves applying a partial surface (1) of a rectangular cover material (2) on remaining parts of the cover material, where a knuckle line (3) runs parallel to a shorter side (4) of the material, and another knuckle line runs perpendicular to the former line. A book block is attached and bound parallel to an inner lying shorter outside edge on the material, so that an inner lying side edge is attached by fixing the book block. Two side closed pockets and a side open pocket are formed at a front cover page, and a back cover page, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a book binding, comprising pockets.
