A groove is assigned to the adjusting device and is provided in the area of an inner circumference surface of the passage opening. A set of axially extending bar-like closing teeth is provided at the outer circumference of the ring. An independent claim is also included for a device for blocking a steering system of an automobile with an outer circumference-sided locking ring arranged at the steering spindle.
