The latent-heat accumulator on the basis of super-cooled melts useful in building power station or industrial technology, comprises a storage medium divided into crystallization-sub-critical mass packages. A durable crystalline volume is provided for germ release. The durable crystalline volume has small thermal contact to a secondary medium (e.g. hot water) during melting. The storage medium (e.g. salt hydrate) is separately stored in flexible hose-like containers from the secondary medium. The separated material of the containers is tightly-diffused opposite to its surrounding materials. The crystalline volume is separately combined from the melts by mechanical movement. The level of the melt or solution is raised by suitable measurement in relation to the moving apparatus. The level comes for contact between the solid phase and liquid phase of the storage material during opening the moving apparatus. The storage medium and the moving apparatus are suitable for replacement.
