The coupling device is manufactured from fiber reinforced plastic after the composite flow pressing process. The coupling device is formed as towing lug or as towing hook. The plastic of the coupling device is a thermoplastic, particularly polyetheretherketone. The fibers (5) of the fiber reinforced plastic are formed as carbon fibers, aramide fibers or glass fibers.
