The gearbox has a pedal crankshaft of a planetary gear eccentrically mounted in mounting plates. Gear tooth systems (13b) of the mounting plates and a locking element (14) of the planetary gear are turned against each other in a direction in a detachable manner. Retaining pins (13a) of a retaining plate (13) are provided with unequal partition against the gear tooth systems of the mounting plates. The tooth systems are rotated in another direction to select a snapping position to make chain clamping such that rest positions of a gear shift lever (12) remain unchanged in a vehicle housing.
