The device (1) has a silencer (9) that reduces noise emission in a pipeline (2) of an internal-combustion engine. The pipeline is connected to an inlet port (4) with an inlet opening, and is attached to a loading device (5). The silencer is coaxially or eccentrically arranged in the pipeline or the inlet port in a selective manner. The silencer has multiple pipeline sections (6, 7, 8) that are spaced at the inner wall surface (10) of the pipeline or the inlet port. Each pipeline section is in a cylindrical base form.
