The operational protection device (1) has an angle frame. The angle frame, made of a non decomposed material, is provided for supporting plants soil. A grating (2) is fastened on a tree grate. The grating is connected in a near-surface area of the angle frame at a side wall. The side walls are provided with a lip (9) indicated for an inner side of the angle frame. The angle frame of the operational protection device is connected with a base over the grating with pegs (6). Multiple rods (7) are provided, which are not bent. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a grating that is made from a raster perpendicular to base of standing flat bars; and (2) a method for fastening an operational protection device at a base.
