The method involves displaying an input field and a proposal list on a display device (30), where the input field is provided for user-side input of a description entry for description of the data object. The proposal list is assigned to the input field for user-side selection of description entries stored in a database (50), where the proposal list comprises all description entries that are already used in a given time interval before detection of the new data object by the same user or other users of the data base.
