The portable hearing aid (1) has an input converter for receiving an input signal and a transformation into an electrical input signal. A signal processing unit is provided for processing and reinforcing electrical input signal and for producing an electrical output signal. An output converter is provided for the transformation of the electrical input signal into an output signal perceptible of a user as acoustic signal. The hearing aid has a housing (2) and a recess (3), in which a color composition (8) is removably inserted for coloring surface geometry of the housing.
