The device has an anchorage unit (5) firmly connected with a base unit (4), where the base unit has a recess provided in a side opposite to the anchorage unit. A gravestone (2) i.e. natural stone, is accommodated in the recess. The recess is limited by a wall (4a) of the base unit. The recess is aligned with an outer contour of the gravestone, and is aligned between the wall of the base unit and a connecting device that is attached to the gravestone. The anchorage unit is detached from the base unit.
