摘要

The device has a compressor with a compressor wheel (113) for increasing pressure of an unburnt gas that is supplied to an internal combustion engine. The compressor is mechanically coupled with an asynchronous machine (108), which includes a magnetic element (109) for driving the wheel. The machine has two winding systems (111, 112) for driving the magnetic element, where the systems are electrically independent from one another. The system (112) is attached to a connection, which includes a converter (115) and a field oriented control and/or regulating unit (117). An independent claim is also included for a method for charging an internal combustion engine.
