The element (9) has a set of inlet channels (21) running parallel to a longitudinal axis (25), and a set of outlet channels (23) running parallel to the longitudinal axis. The inlet channels and/or the outlet channels are limited by filter walls (31.1-31.3). A part of filter walls (31.2, 31.3) runs radially and concentrically to the longitudinal axis of the element within a radial outer area (29) of a cross-section. The inlet and the outlet channels are arranged in the outer area of the element. The element is rotationally symmetric or central symmetric with respect to the longitudinal axis.
