The housing (1) has a compressor rear wall (2), compressor front part (3) and circular shell (4) made of plastic such as polyphenylsulfide for receiving a compressor wheel (7) and forming spiral shaped compressor channels (8). The compressor rear wall, the compressor front part and the circular shell are manufactured in injection molding method. A stabilization element (11) exhibits reinforcement ribs (12) and circularly and partially surrounds the compressor wheel. The stabilization element is designed as a single piece with the compressor rear wall, compressor front part and shell.
