The method involves producing individual foam material components in a steam chamber device. The components are connected together, and the connected components are expanded or contracted in a thermal treatment by evaporation of water vapor, where the components are connected in a force fit and form fit manner. The components are engaged behind each other in connected condition, where thermal treatment takes place by annealing procedure in an annealing furnace. The annealing procedure is performed at a temperature of 80 degree Celsius to 100 degree Celsius.
