The invention relates to a method for the determination of Fe-55 and Ni-63. In step a) the addition of HCl to the sample takes place, whereby chloro complexes are formed. In step b), extraction takes place in a polar organic solvent. In step c) there is thus obtained an aqueous phase containing Ni-63 and an organic Fe-55-containing phase. According to step d), a back-extraction with a mineral acid (eg HNO 3, H 2 SO 4) is carried out. Here is any common mineral acid suitable, except for HCl.
