The valve has a valve cone comprising a valve rod (11) and a valve disk, which is linear slidably guided in a recess (12) of a valve rod guide (10). A seal ring (15) seals a gap between the valve rod and the rod guide, and is made of temperature-resistant material e.g. metallic material and ceramic material. The seal ring engages into a groove (16) of the valve rod or a groove of the rod guide. Thickness of the seal ring is smaller than width of the groove of the valve rod, so that lubricant overrides with a defined pumping action of the seal ring during movement of the valve rod.
