The tongue (14) has a handle section (18) made of a base material e.g. hard plastic material. Knobs (26) are made from an absorbing material such as soft or flexible plastic material. The knobs are provided in a region of upper edges (24) of the section. The knobs project above an adjacent surface of the handle section upto 0.2 millimeter to 1.5 millimeters. The knobs cover between 30 percentages and 70 percentages of a surface of the handle section. The knobs form a contact surface with an adjacent component e.g. vehicle lining (16), in an assembled condition of the tongue. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an insertion tongue.
